Seminar of Nadine Borduas-Dedekind

Séminaire
CERLA

Mme Borduas-Dedekind est invited through the graduate School of Lille University. She co-supervises the PhD work of Luna Cartarayde.

Mme Borduas-Dedekind will give a seminar on  "Selenium in the atmosphere: Sources, sinks, seasonality and even synthesis and mechanisms!"

Abstract:
Selenium (Se) is an essential nutrient for humans and it enters our food chain through bioavailable Se in soil. Atmospheric deposition is a major source of Se to soils, driving the need to investigate the sources and sinks of atmospheric Se. In my research group, we’re interested in studying the atmospheric fate of Se to predict how climate change will impact Se deposition and thus Se soil availability in the future.
