Dr Shunsuke SUZUKI, Professeur invité (LabEx CaPPA)

Principal Researcher at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan

During the stay of Dr. Suzuki in PC2A-Lille (9-25 May 2024), he will work with Dr. Luc-Sy TRAN and focus on the development of a joint kinetic model by combining the kinetic models of two groups (PC2A Lille and AIST Tsukuba). This model will allow to unravel the formation mechanism of oxygenated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (OPAHs) during biofuel combustion. These aromatics are known as air pollutants and have detrimental influence on human health. The expected results can contribute to research on reducing pollution emissions to produce cleaner energy from biofuel combustion.

He will give a seminar the 16th of May at C11-building, "Investigation to elucidate the reaction mechanism of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and oxygenated PAHs using a flow reactor".
